Hey everyone! Welcome to the Ghost in the Shell forum. Are you new here? Introduce yourself! Most of our higher ranked members will be happy to answer any questions you have. How do you get higher ranked? Well, there's a few different types of ranking.
Post Rank
Post ranks are determined by the number of posts you have. When you start - your'e a "section 1" poster. As you post more, you ranking will increase. Every month - we'll send out an announcement saying who has earned the highest ranking of the month! If you graduate to "section 9" we'll send out a global message right away!
Points System
The points system is also determined by how many posts you have. Every time you start a new topic you get 3 points. When you reply, you get 1 point per reply. Every month, we'll send out an announcement saying who earned the most points this month AND who has the highest number of points.
Reputation System
Instead of PER post or topic like the Rank and Point systems - the reputation system is all about quality of posts. If the post gets a thumbs up, you earn a RS point. If you get a thumbs down, you loose a RS point. If you someone "thanks" buttons your post or topic - you get 3 RS points. Every month we send out a message saying who has the highest reputation as well as who earned the most RS points.
*Note - if you are helpful and kind, an admin might award you points or boost your ranking. However, if you abuse any of the systems, an admin might deduct or lower your ranking or points.
